Throughout history there have been people who have been known for their love of God and His creation. Their stories are often still with us today, even if they lived hundreds or thousands of years ago. Many people have heard of Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, Krishna, Rama, Meera, Rabi'a, and Francis of Assissi. Why? Because their stories have been kept alive: their lives provide us with inspiration, and are worthy of emulating. There are probably many more saints, prophets and masters who have passed away unannounced. The lives of these great souls are worthy of study, to show us what is possible for human beings, and as role models for us.
