HelpDesk - Process Request

  1. Search for the Help Desk request as in HelpDesk - Search
  2. These actions can be done on the request from the Search view
    1. Cancel - by clicking on the white cross in a red circle
    2. Mark pending - by clicking on the pause icon (2 vertical parallel white lines) - to change status to pending
    3. Escalate - by clicking on the green up arrow - this option should be ignored currently (2011-11-28)
    4. Close or Mark completed/done - by clicking on the first grey cross (x)
    5. Delete the request - by clicking on the grey cross (x) at the right end of the row - to be done only by administrators
  3. Edit the request by clicking on the yellow-and-red icon on the left - the request comes up in the edit view
  4. Add comments or notes about this request by clicking on the ??? tab and then on new comment
  5. The same set of actions listed above can be done from this edit view
  6. Closing the request is described in HelpDesk - Close Request
