Dear sisters and brothers,

Rev. Master desires the Mission's Archives should not be merely a place of storage, but should be organised with an eye on history. He has approved in principle drafting of the history of the Mission, but this has to be preceded by an intelligent organisation, classification and preservation of all records, artifacts - visual and written material . Much of such material has already been collected and more still have to be collected and such archives organised in more than one location.

This concept is still tentative and we shall need ideas and help in execution from abhyasis, prefects and administrative functionaries who have a historical perspective and perhaps experience also in this line. We would like to extend an invitation to all such brothers and sisters who could contribute to this function to attend this meeting which will be chaired by Br. Kamlesh Patel and will be held at permanent meditation hall at Tiruppur on May 1, 2013 after breakfast (9:30am)

Please confirm your participation by sending an email to mission.history@srcm.org and add a few words as to in what manner you could render your help - collection of material / classification of records both manually and electronically / preservation of records against decay or restoring damaged ones / development of software to facilitate easy access to records / production of the history of the Mission and so on.
