Broomlee Ashram, Scotland
Report by brother Padu Nellayappan, India

This summer we invite abhyasis to four English Language School seminars in Broomlee, our ashram in Scotland, including a Youth ELS, with special emphasis on the 16 to 30 age group. As well as daily satsanghs, each seminar will explore a spiritual theme through English, so that abhyasis wishing to improve their English may do so through the Sahaj Marg texts, and most mornings there will be English Language classes. These are small seminars with brothers and sisters from many countries. Because we speak different languages, we are more conscious that just being together with a listening heart, is all that is required to open to the Master within each one of us; beyond the spoken word, beyond convention and acquired culture, linked through Master's spiritual Presence.
The registration forms, and further details, are now available by emailing the contacts below, and may also be found on the website 'upcoming events':

  1. June 3rd to 11th

The June ELS, with room for just 15 abhyasis, will have English language classes every morning after satsangh, with the emphasis on sharing from the heart on the spiritual theme 'Lion Heart'. contact Ruby Carmen at rbycarmen@yahoo.co.uk
  2. July 1st to 9th

July will be a week of walking the Scottish hills with English conversation on the spiritual theme which will be 'In preparation for Master's birthday'. Contact Anna Pearse at annapearse@freeuk.com
  3. August 5th to 12th

The Youth ELS in August is aimed primarily at young people between 16 and 30 years old. However we warmly welcome those from outside this age range if it feels right to come. Children are also welcome. The spiritual theme for the week is 'Enthusiasm in all we do', coming from the Greek 'En theos', put God in your heart'. Contact Simon Sheridan at simonbehappy@yahoo.com
  4. August 13th to 26th

The Two Week ELS in August - two weeks of daily satsanghs, English classes, cooking, playing, sharing from the heart with brothers and sisters from many different countries. We hope to have informal English classes for the children also. Contact Louise Sheridan at louisebetrue@yahoo.com
