September 28, 2015 Celebrations - Volunteers

Volunteers

We require a significant number of volunteers to be present at the venue from now onwards. Some volunteers would also be required to stay for about ten days after the celebrations for winding up operations. Abhyasis who are ready to volunteer are requested to plan accordingly. Upon arriving at the venue, interested abhyasis may report to the volunteer desk or the ashram office.

Volunteers from previous celebrations are encouraged to volunteer their services and also encourage other willing abhyasis to participate in volunteer work.

Centre-in-charges are requested to encourage abhyasis to participate in voluntary work. List of volunteers with name of centre, number of abhyasis (brothers and sisters separately), area of volunteer work and approximate dates of their arrival and departure may be sent by email to 28sep15.helpdesk@srcm.org as this will enable the organisers to plan accordingly.

Transportation from the Railway station for Volunteers

Volunteers arriving by train are requested to intimate their arrival details through email to 28sep15.transport@srcm.org and call +91 98430 15642 before arrival to get details on how to reach D.J. Park.

Kindly note that there will be no bus or van facility available before Thursday, 24 September 2015, however, abhyasis will be guided to reach the venue.

Reaching the venue on your own

From the railway station take a bus from Town Hall bus stop, just outside the railway station, to go to old bus stand. Most of the buses go towards the old bus stand from the Town Hall bus stop. Please enquire and confirm before boarding the bus.

From the old bus stand, bus numbers 15 and 34 will drop you near D.J. Park (The bus stop is also called “Revathy Rice Mill” stop and it is on the Tiruppur–Dharapuram Main Road, State Highway 174.)

Kindly note that there are two bus stands in Tiruppur – the old and the new. The above buses are available from the old bus stand only.

After getting down at D.J. Park bus stop, the campus can be reached using the side road by following directions and it is at a walking distance. Shuttle services may also be available from Friday, 24 September 2015 from Revathy Rice Mill bus stop to the venue.

Autos or taxis can also be hired from the railway station from their respective stands within the premises. The approximate charges from the railway station to D.J. Park will be Rs 250 for an auto and Rs 300 for a taxi. While taking an auto, please do not over load it. There have been a few accidents in the past, so abhyasis are advised to take care.
