The closest airport is Billund (approximately 45 km) with daily flights from most European cities. The nearest railway and long distance bus station is Silkeborg (20 km). Other railway and long distance bus stations are Horsens (40 km), Skanderborg (40 km) and Vejle (55 km). The nearest local bus stations are Bryrup and Hjøllund approximately 8 km from the Ashram. We can arrange pick-up by locals at any of these destinations against a fee to cover cost. We recommend you to bring warm clothes, rain gear, house shoes or warm socks at any time of the year. InsuranceCitizens of the EU who have a valid European Health Insurance card (EHIC) are covered for most medical treatment in Denmark. Please note that third country nationals cannot use their EHIC for medical treatment in Denmark and therefore will need valid travel insurance for the length of their stay at the Ashram. CurrencyThe national currency is Danish Crowns (1 € = app 7,5 DKK). Please ensure that you bring enough DKK for the length of your stay, as the nearest bank and ATM is app 15 km away. The Ashram accepts Euro, but you'll need DKK for anything else (public transport, shopping, etc). VisaFor citizens from some countries it is necessary to have a visa for Denmark. This is the case for Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Serbia-Montenegro, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, India, and South Africa and others.
