Updating Worldwide Membership Information

The Mission has developed a process and system for achieving the following membership related functions:

  • Maintaining information for all Mission members in each center/country
  • Keeping track of changes in members information while conforming to the country’s privacy policies
  • Providing an ID card to all members after due verification. Abhyasis of Shri Ram Chandra Mission are issued an identity card in order to facilitate administrative functions such as registration for seminars and identification at ashrams.

Please following the process outlined below for a) registering with the membership database if you are a New Abhyasi, b) Updating your details if any of your information has changed, and c) requesting for an ID card.

The process for these three membership related functions varies by location.

Abhyasis Residing in India

  • New Registration: All Indian abhyasis should contact their prefect and/or local Membership volunteer to understand the process for New Registration.
  • Update Details: Indian abhyasis can use the ‘Update Details’ option from the drop-down menu at https://profile.sahajmarg.org/members/ (Webform) for updating their details. Please watch the ‘Update Details Training Video’, and review the FAQ document on the Webform page before using the Update Details option. All Indian abhyasis should contact their prefect and/or local Membership volunteer if they have any questions regarding the process for updating their details.
  • ID Card Request: All Indian abhyasis can please refer to Abhyasis residing in India to understand the process for applying for an ID card. All queries pertaining to ID cards may be sent via email to:profile@sahajmarg.org

Abhyasis Residing outside India

Abhyasis will use the Webform to perform all three functions outlined above.

From the Webform Request drop-down menu you will select one of the following options, based on your situation:

  • New Abhyasi Registration: Abhyasis who have recently started the practice can register with the Abhyasi Database using this form.
  • Update Details: Abhyasis can use this form to update their information
    • Abhyasis who have an Abhyasi ID card will use the Printed Name on the ID Card and the Abhyasi ID on the ID card as the Abhyasi Identification fields. Entering this information will help locate/identify their record in the database.
    • Abhyasis who do not yet have an ID card would first need to complete the New Abhyasi Registration, and wait for their new registration request to be approved. Once their new registration is approved, they will receive an email with the record lookup name and the record reference number, which they can then use to update their details.
  • ID Card Request: Abhyasis who do not yet have an Abhyasi ID card can apply for one using this form. Abhyasis can also use this form to request a replacement ID card.
    • Abhyasis who already have an Abhyasi ID card will use the Printed Name on the ID Card and the Abhyasi ID on the ID card as the Abhyasi Identification fields. Entering this information will help locate/identify their record in the database.
    • Abhyasis who do not yet have an ID card would first need to complete the New Abhyasi Registration, and wait for their new registration request to be approved. Once the new registration is approved, they will receive an email with the record lookup name and the record reference number, which they can then use to submit an ID card request.
    NOTE: Once an ID card request is successfully submitted, the process can take up to 6-8 weeks for the physical card to arrive.

Photo Guidelines

Abhyasis are required to upload a photograph in the “New Abhyasi Registration” and “ID Card Request” forms. The photo has to conform to certain specifications which can be found here: http://www.sahajmarg.org/resources/forms/id-card-form/photo-guidelines

Suggested Donation

There is a suggested voluntary donation of $10 per request for each ID card (also applies to card reprints).
