Dear Sister / Brother:

AHMEDABAD ASHRAM INGAUGUARATION
July 11th, 2006
Report by brother Suresh Rajagopalan (Zonal-in-Charge), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

Rev. Master has graciously agreed to inaugurate the Ahmedabad Ashram meditation hall situated on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway beside the Adalaj Police station on 11th July - 06. This meditation hall has a capacity to seat 2000 abhyasis for meditation. The meditation hall is hexagonal in shape with a clear column free space across side to side of about 28 meters and 3.5 meters wide walkway around on all sides, which will facilitate clear, unobstructed view of Master on stage for all seated in the meditation hall. The meditation hall is open from three sides and has an overall area of 1,075 square meters thus allowing putting up of tents on the open sides to facilitate seating of additional abhyasis if the exigency arises. The roofing is special hypar-shell roof over the main seating area rising from 2.5 meters above floor to 7 meters at the center. The shape of the roof being open from three sides would keep the temperature inside even in summer lower than the external temperature.
