Dear Sister / Brother:

REPORT ON YOUTH PROGRAM COMPLETION
April to June 2006
Report by brother S. Prakash, Ashram Maintenance Manager, Manapakkam, India

The first ever youth program at Manapakkam Ashram was launched with Master's Blessings on the 1st of April '2006.

At the end of the 3 month program, the participants were expected to get completely familiar on all aspects of how an Ashram functions. They were also to get lots of exposure on Spiritual aspects. At the end of the program, the participants, either immediately or in future, were to be made ready to take up tasks across Ashrams in India. To accomplish the above objectives the participants were to get familiar with all aspects of running an Ashram.

Keeping these objectives that were set out by Master, the program commenced with His Blessings on 1st April '2006. Within a couple of days Master met up with the participants and gave them a group sitting in the cottage.

In the succeeding 3 months, the participants went through an exhaustive theory cum practice sessions in all the departments / functions in the Manapakkam Ashram. There was great support from all those who shared their expertise to the participants. The participants remained enthusiastic throughout the program and lived up to the rigors placed on them.

The culmination of the program was something all of them were eagerly looking forward to. Like graduation day, they were to be given "Certificate of Merit" by Master - each Certificate personally signed by Him.

On Wednesday, the 28th of June '2006 the participants were presented these certificates, individually, by Master in the stage (after the morning Satsangh and a few weddings that Master had solemnized prior to that). He spoke to each participant as they came up the stage and even graciously agreed for a group photograph. Many participants were moved by His Love & affection. The abhyasis witnessing the certificate distribution gave a rousing welcome with applause for each and every participant.

It was a ceremony which ended with a sense of satisfaction and with the feeling that the objectives that were taken up for the program had been satisfactorily completed.

One batch exits and the next batch enters - The 2nd batch of the Youth Training Program arrived on 30th of June '2006 as per schedule and the next batch was officially inaugurated on the 1st of July '2006. The success of the earlier program has already attracted good talent for the next batch. There are 37 participants in the 2nd batch as compared to 9 in the inaugural batch.
