July 2007 Celebrations – Transportation for abhyasis from outside India

Transport between Chennai – Tiruppur – Chennai for abhyasis from outside India for July 24th Celebrations

Transport for Rev. Master’s 80th birthday celebrations is being organized between Chennai and Tiruppur for abhyasis from outside India. This circular specifically communicates the bus arrangements that are being made. Communication about flight arrangements may follow at a later time.

How to request for transport?

Transport requests can be made in groups. A group can consist of multiple members traveling together as a contingent, sharing the same itinerary for the entire trip. A transport request can be made as follows:

  1. Complete the details in the Bus Transport Request form. The Bus Transport Request form is in MS Excel format and can be downloaded at http://www.srcm.org/members/24july2007/transport-

  2. Email the filled-in Bus Transport Request form to 24july2007.transport@srcm.org before the 30th of May 2007.
  3. Make payments for bus transport immediately on reaching the Manapakkam Ashram, prior to Master’s birthday celebrations.
  4. Please note that your submission of the bus transport requests is treated as final confirmation and we would be making non-refundable bookings with transport operators based on your request. No cancellations or refunds are possible. Hence you would need to make arrangements to pay the amount at Manapakkam even if you would not be making the travel.

YOUTH PROGRAM AT THE BABUJI MEMORIAL ASHRAM - 6th BATCH COMMENCEMENT

This is to bring to your attention the launch of the 6th “YOUTH PROGRAMME” from 1st July to 30th September 2007 at Babuji Memorial Ashram, Manapakkam, Chennai – 600 116, India. The fifth YOUTH PROGRAMME is running successfully and we are happy to announce the commencement of the next batch to accommodate more willing Abhyasi Brothers & Sisters from across India including those who missed out in the earlier batches. This full time residential programme will run from 1st July 2007 to 30th September 2007 (for a period of 3 months) and is aimed at training the YOUTH of Sahaj Marg in the various aspects of running an Ashram.

Salient features of this programme: 

  1. Intense training on all facets of Maintaining an Ashram and on Sahaj Marg during their stay.
  2. In-house stay at the ashram, at no cost to the abhyasi participants, during the programme period. Food and Bachelor’s Dormitory Accommodation will be provided at Ashram.

The following are eligible to apply for this programme:

  1. Abhyasis from India between the age group of 20 to 40.
  2. Must have been practicing Sahaj Marg System of Meditation for at least 2 years at the time of applying.
  3. Must have attended at least one or two Bhandaras / Celebrations.
  4. Abhyasi Brothers & Sisters in the mentioned age group are welcome to apply.
  5. Must attach a certificate of Conduct from the respective Zone-in-Charge or Centre-in-Charge or Preceptor-in-Charge.
  6. Must not expect any other support, financial or otherwise (other than Food & Accommodation which will be provided free at Ashram) during the programme tenure. They must carry enough clothing for their stay and some cash to cover their personal expenses.
  7. Must be highly disciplined and motivated to participate for the full tenure of the programme. We intend restricting the size of the Sixth batch to 25 (Twenty Five only) and we will go on a first cum first served basis, provided the candidates fulfill the above criteria. Participants who complete the program successfully will be eligible for absorption as Ashram Staff in Manapakkam and across Ashrams in India

 The medium of instruction will be English. Abhyasi brothers & sisters who are willing to apply for this program must route their applications (with complete resume using format located at:  http://www.srcm.org/members/forms/07-Mpkm-Youth_Program_application.pdf ) through their respective ZIC / CIC / Preceptor-in-Charge on or before 30th of May ‘2007. Short listed candidates will be intimated by email / post / phone on or before 10th June '2007 after proper screening. They must report at Manapakkam Ashram by 29th of June ‘2007 and the program will commence on 1st July ‘2007 (with suitable break in-between for Tiruppur celebrations).
