Guru Purnima Celebrations at Manapakkam on July 15, 2011

Guru Purnima was celebrated at the Manappakkam ashram on the 15th of July 2011. This full moon day, normally in the month of July, is dedicated to be in the presence of one's Guru. While any day with the Guru is fortunate for the abhyasis, this day is considered very special for the Guru bestows on his abhyasis speedy progress.

There were about 6000 abhyasis from centers near and far including from several overseas centers. Revered Master was in good spirits. Before the morning satsangh, he inaugurated the newly constructed auditorium building. This 3 story building has an indoor recreation center, gymnasium, auditorium and a library. After inaugurating the building, Revered Master was at the meditation hall by 7 AM and was waiting for the abhyasis and most importantly all the wedding couples to be seated. Master started the meditation by 7.15 AM. After the meditation he solemnized 9 weddings.

After the evening satsangh, there was a wonderful performance by Ganesh and Kumaresh on violin. Master enjoyed their performance immensely. All brothers and sisters revelled in Master's remembrance and it was a fulfilling experience of being with one's Master on this day.
