Daaji's Birth Anniversary September 2019

Dear sisters and brothers,

Decentralised celebrations for the birth anniversary of our Master, Daaji, will be held in local centres, with group meditations on the day either at 7:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., or as per local convenience. There will not be any livecast from Kanha on this day.

To be in tune with the UN theme for Peace Day this year of 'Climate Action for Peace', and the Jal Shakti initiative by the government of India to conserve water, this year we will spend our efforts in tree plantation and water conservation on this auspicious day.

Current water conservation initiatives at Kanha are:

1. The rainwater percolation pits.
2. Rainwater harvesting from buildings.
3. Waste-water treatment and re-use.
4. Water-efficient fixtures.
5. Education for children and adults in conservation.

Abhyasis in our ashrams across 64 cities in India have committed to planting 64,000 plants to celebrate the 64th birthday of Daaji, and have also committed to cultivating 640,000 saplings for plantation during the monsoon season of 2020.
