Dear sisters and brothers,

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Independence of India, Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, enthusiasts from the world are invited to perform a total of over 750 million Surya Namaskars (Sun Salutations), over a period of 21 consecutive days, with the aim of bringing India's foremost heritage of yoga to the world.

The program was inaugurated on January 3, 2022 at Kanha Shanti Vanam by Heartfulness Guide, Daaji, the Hon Minister of Ayush (Yoga) for India, Pujya Yogrishi Swami Ramdev ji and many other dignitaries and officials.

The event aims to spread yoga and promote health and well-being of the body, mind, and spirit for people of all ages. It is being supported by the Government of India, the National Yogasana Sports Federation of India , the Association of Indian Universities, many leading Yoga organizations of the world, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs of India.

The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs of India, is also a key partner of the event. They are encouraging all Indian Embassies all over the world to highlight and boost participation in this event, and to co-ordinate with leading global Yoga organizations, including Heartfulness.

The entire program is free, and online certificates are being issued to participants who complete the entire 21 days challenge of performing 13 daily Surya Namaskars.

Anyone interested can join before Sunday January 30th and invite friends and family. We hope that 21 days of a new experience of vibrant energy will motivate participants to step on to the path of yoga, leading, inevitably, to interiorization through meditation. Here are further details:
