Shahjahanpur Ashram - A Legacy of Love

Dear Friends,

Shahjahanpur is the birthplace of the Sahaj Marg system, and continues to support our spiritual journey. Lalaji revealed that Shahjahanpur, “the place where, by God’s Grace, such a marvellous personality is born as would not be expected to be created in future, should form the starting point.”

What we today see unfolding as Heartfulness took birth in Shahjahanpur. Swami Vivekananda described how the places purified by Babuji were “resounding with a spiritual echo,” showing the transforming effect of his work on the places he touched. While the Shahjahanpur ashram was being constructed, Babuji once said, “I charge every single brick of this ashram every day, and hope that the ashram will remain charged for a very long time.”

As the golden milestone of fifty years approaches, the ashram is preparing once again to welcome thousands of abhyasis from across the world during Basant 2026, in five batches starting from February 12th to March 2nd, 2026.

Just as Babuji prepared for the inauguration in February 1976, with faith, limited resources and boundless love, so we are getting ready and giving our all.

Some things are different today. There are many more of us who can support the growth and maintenance of the birthplace of Sahaj Marg so that it continues to be a beacon for future generations. This generosity is a natural impulse that arises from within the heart. Every thought, every prayer, every hour volunteered, and every resource shared become part of our collective offering.
