Ashram Life

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Satsangh
Monday to Saturday 6.30 and 17.00
Sunday 7.30 and 13.30

Meditation Hall
Arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time
Prepare for satsangh

Observe silence
Master has advised to not use the meditation hall for individual sittings
and daily cleaning to maintain its purity and spiritual atmosphere.

Accommodation
You are accommodated in apartments or dormitories, which you may have to share with other Ashram visitors and you are responsible for cleaning up after yourselves.

Arrival
You find your name and accommodation on the board outside the reception. Please make sure to register with reception latest the morning after your arrival.

Assistance at the Ashram
You can always contact one of the Ashram residents (see contact details next to reception) for any immediate help.

Bedding and Laundry
If possible, please bring your own bedding, sheets and towels. A limited number of quilts, pillows and bedding are available for rent.
Washing machines and dryers are available at the Ashram against a fee at certain hours of the day. Please contact the caretakers for more information.

Cars
If you are coming by car, please give special caution towards crossing wildlife. There are frequently deer along the road.
Parking is permitted only in the designated areas in front of the reception or behind the kitchen.

Children
The Ashram has a playground in the park, which is in itself an adventurous experience. A family room with toys, children's books and videos, etc, is situated on the first floor in the main house. Children activities are organised at special occasions.

Donations
The running of the Ashram depends entirely on donations. The suggested donation to help us cover cost is € 15 per day per person, plus 10 € per day, if you choose to join meals or use the food supplies provided by the Ashram. We accept all major credit cards (Dankort, Visa, Master, Maestro). Please note that we cannot accept foreign cheques.
European Membership: A further possibility for abhyasis outside Denmark to support the Ashram is to become a EU-member of the Danish mission. For more information and to become a member please click here

Food and Meals
The small kitchen at the main house is stocked with basic food supplies. If you use this kitchen you are responsible for cleaning up after cooking.
During seminars and busy periods there are common meals at the Ashram. Outside these periods, you may have to prepare your own meals, or, if possible, organise yourselves with other Ashram visitors to cook together.
If you have food allergies, please inform reception before your arrival or / and bring your own (vegetarian) supplies.

Library
A well-equipped library is on the first floor of the Main House. There is a large selection of mission publications, literature and audio and visual items.

Phone and Internet
The mobile network is very limited on the Ashram premises and works only on some elevated spots of the Ashram. The coin phone in the entrance of the main house accepts both Euro and DKK.
A public computer is available at the main house for your most urgent emails, bookings, etc.


Be present in the here and now and allow your stay at the ashram to be free of distractions that can agitate your mind and divert it back to the outside world.
