Bulletin 2021.2 - Sunday, 14 March 2021

Dear sisters and brothers,

This year, we have invited the leading Yoga situations of India to join us in celebrating International Day of Yoga in a special online event, Yoga for Unity and Wellbeing – 100 Days Towards International Day of Yoga. We will begin on 14 March and complete 100 days on 21 June, International Day of Yoga, with a number of Yoga organizations joining this collective effort so that together we can share the practices and wisdom of Yoga in the spirit of unity.

The 100-day program is a great opportunity for us to re-educate ourselves and deepen our understanding of Yoga as a comprehensive practice. Starting with Yama and Niyama, we will be guided through the various aspects of Yoga by some of the best teachers of our country. It will be wonderful if we are all able to make use of this opportunity.

The inauguration ceremony at 5 p.m. IST on 14 March will be graced by the Honourable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind. We also welcome the presence of Shri Vaidhya Rajesh Kotecha, the Secretary of the Ministry for AYUSH, Government of India; Dr H.R. Nagendra, Chancellor SVYASA Foundation; and Yogrishi Swami Ramdev ji, President, Patanjali Yogpeeth.

Our official partners and co-hosts are Patanjali Yogpeeth, SVYASA Foundation, The Ministry of AYUSH, the United Nations, and over 800 universities under the Association of Indian Universities of India. Their faculty and members will be actively participating in the 100-day event, which will include the following:

A series of daily online sessions each morning, via YouTube and other media, featuring the practices of Asana and Pranayama, followed by Heartfulness Meditation.

A series of over 40 online lectures, two per week, by qualified Yoga experts who will teach the fundamentals of Yoga, including Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, the history of Yoga, and Yoga for well-being and therapy, which will also include yogic Mudras.

Special webinars which integrate well-being practices with Yoga.

On the occasion of the International Sleep Day, Global Parents Day, World Environment Day; World Health Day and International Hypertension Day, there will be a plethora of well-being practices from renowned national and international speakers, designed for healthy and happier living.

Every Sunday at 8:45 am on Aastha TV, YouTube, and other media platforms, there will be a session called “Meditate with Daaji”. It will include informative sessions on the fundamentals of Heartfulness practices, followed by a practical session of Heartfulness Meditation.
