Voice that Cares

2023.19 - Monday, 2 October 2023

Dear sisters and brothers,

We are happy to announce the launch of the Voice that Cares helpline in Gujarati.

Voice that Cares (VTC) is a free ‘Psychological First Aid’ (PFA) helpline to support any individual who is in mental health distress and needs support. VTC is being offered by Heartfulness Institute and Ripples of Change Foundation, in collaboration with Manasa Trust, an institution that has been operating in the mental health space for 20 years.

VTC helpline is answered by 25 qualified psychology counsellors and 140 volunteers who are trained as PFA counsellors. Since its inception in June ’21 during the COVID-19 pandemic, VTC has received over 60,000 calls from all over India. This free public helpline (Ph: 8448-8448-45) is operational in English, Hindi and Telugu between 9 am to 9 pm every day. It is interesting to note that two-thirds of the individuals calling this helpline are youth between the age group of 18 – 30 yrs.
